A few days ago, The Daily Mail contacted me about using my Guantanamo prisoner artwork photos. I was unable to provide them the images in time since I was at work, but they went ahead and stole them from Slate, where they were originally published, and ran the story. Luckily, I got them to take them down since they did not attribute the images or pay me. (Freelancers have got to fight back!)
The reason I know they stole them is because they were featured on the Colbert Report on July 14. Admittedly a bit late, since Slate ran the images last year, but I am tickled by how Colbert punned up my story. Here is the video.
